An energy audit is a physical inspection of your facility and energy equipment, in order to review energy performance and recommend system upgrades. The energy audit is the first step in making your facility more energy-efficient and becomes the blueprint for future planning and activity.

Local utilities, such as PPL and UGI, perform small business energy audits at little to no direct cost to business owners. These programs focus on electricity efficiency and natural gas efficiency. Each program can identify potential energy efficiency upgrades and detail any funds available to subsidize the capital costs of these upgrades.
